Good Vibes Trio

Chris Bates’ Good Vibes trio was formed as an outlet for creative exploration and joyful expression. Bassist Chris Batescollaborates with a number of people, but with vibraphonist Dave Hagedorn and drummer Phil Hey there seemed to be an unbridled, happy and kinetic energy blossoming from every note and song. The Good Vibes trio has one recording so far that features original music and under explored repertoire from Charles Mingus, Ornette Coleman, Freddie Hubbard, Dave Brubeck, Karl Berger and Dave Berkman.
